The work of the students at the Porta Romana Art School, in Sesto Fiorentino, has come to an end

Evento finale del percorso di alternanza scuola-lavoro con il Progetto Life Weee

With the final event of the Pathways for Soft Skills and Orientation (PCTO, formerly known as the alternating school-work programme), which took place exceptionally online on 26 May 2020, the Life WEEE Project collaboration with the Porta Romana Art School, in Sesto Fiorentino, came to an end.

The students of 4B, coordinated by Pasquale Scala and by the business tutor Barbara Codaccci of the Regione Toscana, Environment and Energy Department, Local Public Services, Energy and Pollution Sector, project partner, worked during what turned out to be a very unusual school year.

The closure of schools due to Covid 19, the subsequent online learning and the technical difficulties of having to use specific software not accessible to everyone from home, meant that the work produced from the course had to be resized: thus, we have a teachers kit, due to be published shortly, intended for older primary school and middle school children, while the production of a cartoon on the history of Neodymium, already present in the kit, was abandoned.

During the final event, Letizia Maggio, on behalf of all her classmates and in front of the students, school tutors and business tutors involved in the PCTO courses in the Tuscany Region, presented the slides already published on the regional authority website.
